Comments

Deprecated - Provided for compatibility with earlier versions only - Use Item.DeleteDependents instead

The DeleteDependents method deletes an item's dependents.

By deleting an item's dependents, the item becomes a leaf item which can no longer be expanded or collapsed.  It is not an error to use the DeleteDependents method if an item doesn't have any dependents.  The item described by ItemIndex is not deleted.  To delete an item, the Items.Remove method can be used.
